An Original 27 X 41 One Sheet poster from the 1953 film noir “Niagara” starring Marilyn Monroe. Monroe plays Rose Loomis a young, attractive woman married to an older military veteran named George. The relationship between the two is abusive and there are rumors that while serving during the war George was once sent to a mental hospital. George is jealous and irritated at any man who looks at his wife. Rose begins cheating on her husband because of their estranged relationship and plots to kill him one day. Rose and her lover Patrick’s attempt at killing George is unsuccessful and for the rest of the film George goes on a rampage trying to find Rose and avoid detection by the police. Offered here is a stunning example of the Original, theatrical One Sheet poster with bright colors showing an eerie image of Monroe over Niagara Falls. Monroe was NEVER more beautiful than as Rose Loomis in “Niagara”, shot entirely in Technicolor. This example was linenbacked to address mild fold wear and separation along the crossfolds and now displays magnificently. A wonderful poster and display piece. No Monroe collection is complete without this classic poster. Very Fine. Linenbacked.
